The Workout You Should Do When You Don’t Have Time to Work Out
When you’re short on time, stressed out, or just don’t know what to do at the gym, perform this simple push-carry challenge.
It’s a low-impact, high-return workout that smokes your entire upper body and core.
“The best workouts are the ones that make you feel better than when you started without taking anything away from your body 5, 10, 25 years from now,” says Men’s Health Fitness Director B.J. Gaddour, who demonstrates the two-move challenge in the video above.
Here’s how it works: Grab a pair of dumbbells. The combined weight should be about 40 to 50% of your total body weight.
Carry the weights for as long as you can. Then immediately perform as many extended-range-of-motion pushups with the dumbbells as possible. Repeat for 10 minutes.
