It may sound strange coming from us, a brand that gets a lot of attention (and sells a fair number of magazines) from the idea of New Year’s resolutions, but January 1st is a hard time to try to break habits.

Why? It boils down to three letters: N-F-L.

Its playoffs run through January, culminating with the bacchanal that is the Super Bowl. Some guys do succeed in restricting beer, wings, and chips, but most don’t. 

So listen, the NFL is over, save for the ESPN and talk radio post-morts—and yeah, we'll all be talking that decision by the Seahawks till the start of next season. The time has come to re-attack those January 1st intentions with a little wind at your back.
