Have Fun & Lose Fat
Recently I was reviewing my daily motivational quotes when I stumbled across Kekich Credo #55.
It says, "Enjoy life. Treat it as an adventure. Care passionately about the outcome, but keep it in perspective. Things are seldom as bleak as they seem when they are going wrong – or as good as they seem when they are going well. Lighten up. You’ll live longer."
And I've translated this into a fat loss lesson for you. Here's what I believe.
If you hate running, don’t do it! If you hate lifting weights, find an alternative! If you’d rather be swing dancing than tread-milling, just do it!
I truly believe there is a connection between doing activities you like and getting more results. If you despise your workouts, I believe that somehow, someway, there is something going on in your body that will result in less fat loss.
I’ll admit, I can’t explain it. But I think this is why men and women actually burn fat with lower calorie burning activities like Yoga and Pilates.
If you’re stressed out all the time – including stress from hating your workouts – and you’re unhappy, then I don’t think you are going to get results no matter how hard you work.
I find too many people stress about their cardio workouts, and don't like doing them either. That’s just one of the reasons why I created a fat loss lifestyle program that only requires 3 short (45 minutes), but intense workouts per week and I encourage you to simply stay active with fun, enjoyable activities on the other four days of the week.
You don't have to stress about going to the gym to do 60 minutes of cardio on a boring machine when staying at home and playing with your kids will accomplish the same thing - and you'll remember those minutes a lot more than you will another hour on the dreaded cardio machine.
So find something you love and just do it! If you enjoy your workouts, then you’ll get more results.
