The Move That Builds Stronger Shoulders

Dec 12 / Build Muscle

The overhead press will give you boulder shoulders. But if you're looking for a fun, effective variation of the move, try the single-arm landmine press. Pressing the weight on an angle recruits the often-neglected muscles in the front of your shoulders and upper chest, says BJ Gaddour, C.S.C.S., creator of musclemorphosis.com. Throw it in your routine for stronger, bigger, better-performing shoulders.

Ready to try it? Most gyms have a landmine installed. Keep an eye out for something that resembles a baseball home plate with a metal tube attached to the top. You'll secure one end of a barbell inside the tube. No landmine? Wrap a towel around the end of a barbell and wedge it into a corner as shown in the video above.
